Gearing up to make Chardham Yatra safe and smooth Year 2023

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister, reviewed the Chardham Yatra preparations. Due to landslides, a BRO team will patrol Joshimath, the main stop on the Badrinath Yatra. This team will respond immediately to a Joshimath highway landslide or other issue. Joshimath will serve as a disaster control center for the yatra. Chief Minister Dhami said that all four holy places in the state—Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri are centers of immense faith for Hindus. We are all responsible for the pilgrims' safety. DM and departmental officers meet weekly to ensure that roads are free of potholes and that improvements are made in Chardham Yatra and Uttarakhand Tour Travels.

The BRO team will remain in Joshimath while officials review trip preparations on the field. Vehicle parking will be available on the Char Dham Yatra routes.
