Jungle Lore Birding Lodge is India's first and largest birding facility, having aided the country's birder community. The entire trip is through the Cheena Peak Range's forested tract via Snow View Point and Kilbury, whose primary habitats are excellent birding sites. Thick Oak, Pine, and Rhododendron trees dominate the Pangot forests. The beauty of the region is only enhanced by the streams that pass through it.
The Nainital district is spread across the tropical, subtropical, temperate, subalpine, and alpine climatic zones. The terai & bhabar belt has a climate similar to that of the prairies, whereas the deep valleys with elevations up to 1000 meters are home to a range of animal and bird species typical of hills as well ploughed fields.

Pangot is a picturesque village nestled in a valley. The Jungle Lore Birding Lodge, for example, has an adorable cottage with excellent food and kind hospitality. However, while visiting Pangot in the winter months, keep the following points in mind. Although the distance from Nainital to Ranikhet is not long, a large number of tourists jams the routes to see the snow-clad mountains and snow that collects in certain sections of the road. As a result, traffic is completely blocked in hazardous icy conditions because there isn't enough room for cars to rise or descend. This causes not only a delay but also stress. When the vehicle swerved out of control, we had a narrow escape when driving down because of the black ice in certain sections of the road. The purpose of this article is to inform people planning to go during these months
