Pauri is a beautiful travel destination located in Uttarakhand. This stunning destination enjoys pleasant weather all-round the year. The summers are not so far but when exploring the destination during the evening, wearing light woolens is the best idea. Winters are quite cold and freezing. Monsoons must be avoided as this is the time when the chances of landslides increases. The best time to visit Pauri is from March-June and September-October.

Tarkeshwar Mahadev Mandir

Situated in the midst of the tall cedar and pines, Tarkeshwar Mahadev Mandir is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known for its tranquil natural setting. It is situated in Lansdown which is 82 km from the Pauri City.

Garhwali Museum

An important attraction to visit in the district is the Garhwali Museum in Lansdowne. It is famous for its collection of the elements of Garhwal Regiment of the Army.

Kaleshwar Temple

About 41 km from Kotdwar, Kaleshwar Temple is another Lord Shiva's temple in the district that is a must visit. It is known to house Samadhis of many sages in its vicinity.

Jim Corbett National Park (CTR)

The Jim Corbett National Park that sprawls between Nainital and Pauri district is famous for its diversity in Flora and fauna. It is known for the famous Royal Bengal Tigers.

Rajaji National Park

Rajaji National park which is spread over 820 sq. km is known for conserving a large number of elephants and tigers. It covers 3 districts, Dehradun, Haridwar and Pauri Garhwal and is a perfect place for wildlife tour in Uttarakhand.

By Air

The nearest Domestic Airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun which is approximately 133 km from Pauri city. One has to hire a cab or take a state-run bus from Dehradun to reach here.

By Rail

The nearest railway stations from Pauri is located at Kotdwara. The Kotdwara Railway Station is located almost 101 km away from Pauri and to cover the rest of the distance, visitors can hire a cab or take a bus.

By Road

Pauri lies on NH 119 and is served by a lot of public and private buses. These buses ply from the major cities of the state and Delhi. People travelling by train can board buses from Haridwar to reach Pauri.

Beautiful place. loved it
I visited in june and this place is really beautiful...in love with the nature beauty in Pauri. The view from the resort is amazing at the sunset time. Pleasent weather like sweet winters, amazing experience.
